COURSE OVERVIEW

This course, overview of Field Approval of Gas-Fired Equipment and CSA B149.3-15 Code, explains the requirements for the approval of gas-fired equipment and serves as training on CSA B149.3-15 (Code for the field approval of fuel-related components on appliances and equipment).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 

Process, Mechanical, Chemical, and Electrical/Controls Professionals, Also professionals looking to understand the gas-fired equipment, their approvals, and CSA B149.3-15 Code. Anyone planning to find employment in inspection/certification bodies performing field approvals of gas-fired equipment.

ABOUT COURSE INSTRUCTOR

Muhammad Tauseef completed his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NED University in 2008 and the University of Calgary in 2012, respectively.

He is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and EGBC. He is functional safety engineer (FS Eng.) certified by TUV Rheinland and a member of International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI).

Muhammad has about 8 years of experience in different fields including electrical, instrumentation and controls, combustion, inspections, and certifications. He recently started his engineering company SEAC Engineering Inc and provides services for the field approval of gas-fired appliances and equipment.

Muhammad also sits on several technical committees for codes and standards including CSA B138, CSA B140, CSA B149.1, CSA B149.3, and CSA B149.6.
