Eid-ul-Fitr Gala / AGM

OVERVIEW
NED Alumni Association of Alberta (NEDAAAB) EC 2012-14 is planning to organize a colorful and full of enjoy evening with NEDians and their families. This is for the very first time we are combining our two major events, i.e. “Annual General body Meeting (AGM)” and an “Eid-ul-Fitr Gala Event”.
Certainly, these events can not be successful without your participation. We need your participation to make this event a memorable, entertaining, and colorful.

ABOUT AGM
In the AGM, you will get a chance to:

• meet with Elected Committee (2012-14) members, in person
• interact with your other NEDians fellows
• see, what NEDAAAB has achieved so far and what NEDAAAB’s plans are for the future
• ask questions. There will be a “question /answer” session at the end and you can ask questions relevant to NEDAAAB, NEDAAAB Elected Committee (EC 2012-14) and their performance

During the last segment of the program , awards will be distributed to the one , who volunteered their services for NEDAAAB during last two years (between June 2011 to July 2013).

Duration: 1 hr and 15 minutes
Program will be started at 6:30 PM SHARP

• 6:30 PM: Start
• 6:40 PM: Safety Topic
• 6:45 PM: Tilawat-e-Quran
• 6:50 PM: Introduction to EC 2012-14 Members
• 6:55 PM: Presentation on NEDAAAB and NEDAAAB EC performance by General Secretary
• 7:15 PM: Presentation on NEDAAAB financial performance by Finance Secretary
• 7:25 PM: Presentation on NEDAAAB’s IT achievement by IT Secretary
• 7:45 PM: President Speech
• 7:55 PM: Question and Answer Session

ABOUT EID GALA
We are planning to make Eid-ul-Fitr Gala more and more colorful and enjoy full specially for the families. Therefore, we are adding following segments this time:

• Nilaam Ghar: Full of family entertainment
• Mushaera: This will be definitely a “funny Mushaera” and you will remember this for a long time
• Kids entertainment: Face painting etc.
• Kids Goodie bags: There will be Goooooooooodie Bags for Kids
• Music: (Not with a professional level singers but with NEDians)

• 8:20 PM: Discuss Eid Gala Agenda
• 8:25 PM: Naat e Rasool
• 8:30 PM: Video Presentation on Dr. Abul Kalam
• 8:35 PM: Mimicry on Imran Khan/Musharaf (Talk Show)
• 8:45 PM: Neelaam Ghar (Question/Answer session)
• 8:55 PM: Break for Namaz-e-Maghrib
• 9:05 PM: Mehfil-e-Mushaera
• 9:35 PM: Mili Naghmas
• 9:45 PM: Appreciation certificates announcement for volunteers in NEDAAAB activities
• 9:55 PM: Dinner
• 10:30 PM: Musical Show
• 11:30 PM: End

EVENT FEE (for Eid Gala only, there is no fee for AGM)
Event fee can be submitted online through PayPal using any credit card. Please note that there is no fee if you are planning to attend the AGM only.

• Single (Bachelors) Twenty Dollars (CAD$20)
• Families (up to four members, including children) Forty Dollars (CAD$40)
• Families (above four, including children) Sixty Dollars (CAD$60)
• Single (Bachelors-Attending AGM only) No Fee, however registration needed

IMPORTANT NOTE

1. We are looking for volunteers!. Those who are interested to participate as a volunteer for the “AGM” and “Eid Gala”, please present their names to Event Task force (emails are given below).
   We need volunteers for the following categories:
   1. Singers (Not necessary professional level) —– for Eid Gala
   2. Guitarist (Not necessary professional level) —- for Eid Gala
   3. Stage events organizer —————————— for Eid Gala
   4. Five Volunteers (Shaers) for Mehfil-e-Mushaera — for Eid Gala (It can be your own poetry or EPC, i-e: Engineering poetry!!!)
   5. Stage event organizer ——————————- for AGM
   6. Five Volunteers for General help —————– for AGM and Eid Gala both
2. Please note that this is the preliminary program detail. Final program agenda (for both AGM and Eid Gala) will be published one week prior to the program.
